A regra de 2 minutos para Persona 5 The copyright X

The characters from Persona 5 / Royal are a special case. They are actual Persona users but have an unknown connection to the protagonist's cognition and appear as cognitions.

Takami Shimotsuna: The editor-in-chief of a famous gossip magazine. She is notorious for using threats of libel and publishing false articles of people.

Perfect World Games first teased the project with a trailer in April 2021. Titled Code Name: X, it was claimed to be the first mobile entry in a “famous Japanese console game series” that has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

There are current development plans to release in other regions such as North America with localization. This release is to be followed by console releases of the game as well, with PC and phones remaining the primary platforms.

The explanation for the game's "contract" mechanic is similar to that of the Persona 5 Royal DLC boss fights against Makoto Yuki and Yu Narukami in that they are cognitive beings rather than the actual individual.

The trio work together as the copyright Thieves, promising to steal the treasures out of six other palaces. Shun Kano, a fellow Kokatsu Academy student, joins the copyright Thieves to change the heart of Hiromu Miyazawa, a dishonest food critic who uses his platform to acquire restaurants and profit through the use of cheaper ingredients.

Many of these characters also serve as confidants and/or have side quests that the protagonist can do.

Throughout the game's story, there are multiple characters who have no Persona power of their own but appear in the Metaverse in their copyright Thief forms and join the battles. These characters are cognitive manifestations created by Merope in accordance with the following conditions:

The developers describe the content like this: “This game contains depictions of copyright and violence against children in some scenes.”

They also appear within the CrossFate storyline where protagonist is sent backwards in time and enters a strange Monad Door. They are found within a replica of Tartarus.

Student by day, copyright thief by night: unmask the corrupt bigwigs of the real world by seizing their distorted desires from the shadows of the Metaverse.

After awakening from a nightmare, the protagonist is thrust into a changed world drained of hope... And the new faces he encounters are pelo less strange: an eloquent owl named Lufel, a long-nosed man and a beauty donned in blue.

Tamayo Yoshida: A second-year high school student and a member of the school female baseball team who wants Motoha Arai to start playing Persona 5 The copyright X baseball again.

They also appear within the CrossFate storyline where it is revealed they exist in a parallel world to the protagonist's group of copyright Thieves.

P5X altered the design of some Personas from the base Persona 5 to be less sexual due to censorship regulations in China (however, other versions of the game feature the uncensored designs, with some exceptions such as the Riders having metallic arms):

Their Personas are named Persona Duos, as they are defined as derivatives of the protagonist's Persona and join the battle along with the protagonist as a duo.
